MP Lifts boosts its growth with new financing and launches its Strategic Plan 2025-2027
MP Lifts has signed a financing agreement with five of Europe’s leading financial institutions, thus marking a decisive milestone in its history. This agreement provides the company with a sound and flexible financial structure, which will allow to deploy in a guaranteed way its new Strategic Plan 2025-2027, recently approved by the Board of Management.
This plan sets the course for the next three years with a focus on profitable growth, increased productivity, operational excellence and digital transformation. All this, with a value proposal centred on the customer and safety as core principles. After successfully developing the strategic plans of the last few years, MP is once again looking to the future with responsibility and renewed ambition.
A forward-looking plan
The company’s 2025-2027 Strategic Plan is articulated around five main lines of action. Firstly, financial soundness and inorganic growth, as the new financing will enable strategic acquisitions in the maintenance area to be undertaken and economies of scale to be optimised.
Also noteworthy is commercial growth; through the consolidation of the main European markets and the drive to modernisation, MP lays the foundations for tackling the new challenges demanded by the market, especially in terms of modernisation and tailored maintenance of the existing pool of lifts.
Another of its strengths is operational excellence and digital transformation, with projects for optimising processes, and implementation of artificial intelligence for improving productivity and service quality.
Furthermore, it is developing an update of its product portfolio, with new ranges of products with proprietary technology to adapt to the challenges of accessibility, urban rehabilitation and energy efficiency.
It also seeks to strengthen its commitment to people and sustainability, by reinforcing MP’s appeal as an employer and integrating sustainability into its day-to-day operating procedures.
Leader in customised solutions
MP Lifts is thus positioned as a company at the forefront of intelligent solutions for the mobility of people in buildings, with a strong technological base and a presence on all five continents, a highly integrated network of distributors and a clear focus on service and the long term.
With this new financing and the roadmap outlined in its 2025-2027 Plan, MP is more than ever ready to face the challenges of the sector and lead a period of profitable growth with a positive impact on people and the environment.

MP Lifts carries out the international EPD certification of its products
MP Lifts has recently completed the international EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certification process for MP GO, one of its main products. This declaration recognises its commitment, as a manufacturer, to measure and reduce the environmental impact of its products and services and, full transparency in reporting these impacts.
The EPD confirms that MP Lifts reports comparable, objective and third-party verified data reflecting good and bad environmental performance of its products and services.
In drawing up this declaration, the environmental performance of the product is described from a life cycle perspective by carrying out a comprehensive assessment. The study results and further required information are compiled in the EPD, which is verified by an independent agent before being registered and published in the International System.
The concept of EPDs is based on the standard ISO 14025, which is internationally recognised and developed at the International Organization for Standardization. Compared to alternative reporting formats such as eco-labels and self-declared labels that only cover aspects of a lifecycle perspective, EPDs cover the entire life cycle of goods and services.
This certificate reinforces the strong commitment of MP Lifts to sustainability and its aim to reduce the environmental impact of its work.

MP Lifts introduces MP Mobi HOME to turn your house more comfortable and accessible
We all know that stairs inside a home can be a great inconvenience and, very often, an insurmountable obstacle for elderly people, persons with reduced mobility or simply when you get there laden down with shopping or your baby’s pushchair. In these cases, installing a homelift makes a considerable contribution to your well-being, while adding value to your property.
Being aware of this, MP LIFTS introduces its homelift MP Mobi HOME, the ideal solution to turn your house more comfortable and accessible, wich removes architectural barriers in your home, thus making access to any space easier.
It offers solutions with a capacity for 2 to 5 persons, with cars up to 110 cm width and 140 cm depth that can be adapted to almost any space, moving at a speed of 0.15 metres per second, and a rated load of up to 385 kg.
Its appearance and functioning are identical to those of a conventional lift, since it is always provided with a car door and all the components have been designed in accordance with lift standard EN 81-2, thus ensuring a safe and comfortable performance.
The safety provided a car door eliminates the need to hold down the button throughout the travel. Moreover, it does not stop until it reaches its destination, thus preventing the risk for passengers to be trapped between two floors.
In the event of a power outage, MP Mobi HOME is equipped with an automatic rescue system that will take the car to the nearest floor and open the doors, so you never get trapped. It is also available with the option of remote maintenance and a monitoring service with an emergency telephone number, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
MP Mobi HOME fits perfectly into any building since it requires minimum pit dimensions (from 15 cm) and reduced top floor height of only 240 centimetres.
You can choose from a wide range of finishes to ensure it integrates perfectly with the aesthetics of your home, and you will even have the option to customise it to your taste.
Do you need more capacity?
MP Mobi offers a capacity for 2 to 13 people, with cars up to 110 cm width and 210 cm depth that can be adapted to almost any space. These lifts move at a speed of 0.15 metres per second, and a rated load of up to 1.000 kg.
International Day of Women and Girls in Science at MP Lifts
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science on 11 February recognises the work of women in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields. This is a special day on which we would like to highlight the work of the women who are part of the MP Team.
Among them, there are engineers and technicians such as Nuria Fernández Ballesteros, a Technical Engineer in Industrial Design from our R&D&I team.
“I finished my degree in 2006 and in my class, of approximately 40 people, there were only about 6 girls”, she explains, stressing that “the presence of women in the STEM world should be a permanent education campaign to eliminate the idea that Engineering is a profession for men”.
Nuria, who at MP works on the continuous improvement of our products and on giving shape to new designs (improving existing products and providing solutions to problems that may arise), has participated in projects such as MP SynGO, in the development of different parts of lift cars and many other initiatives.

“To a girl who is taking her first academic or professional steps in the scientific world, I would advise her to go for it without fear, without complexes and to enjoy what she is doing,” she says, celebrating that “there is an increasing number of women in the sector”.
“The most important thing is to enjoy your job because we dedicate many hours of our lives to it and, if I have to give advice to a girl who is thinking of going into the scientific world, it is to dedicate herself to what she really wants and is passionate about, which is where she will really be happy“.

MP Lifts promotes the digital development at Interlift, the largest international trade fair for the lift industry
As of today, MP Lifts is participating in the world’s largest trade fair for the lift sector, Interlift 2023, in Augsburg (Germany), with a strong commitment to digital development in design, manufacture, maintenance and modernisation of lifts under the motto ‘All in One Partner’.
The company, now consolidated as the seventh largest operator of the sector in Europe, presents all the news related to its IoL (Internet of Lifts) ecosystem of connected lifts for remote connection between lifts, technicians and users.
This technology, providing detailed information on elevators, allows technicians to remotely perform all kinds of actions and opens the door to new functions for owners and users, who can monitor the service level of their lifts. Furthermore, they get access to information about ongoing issues, fault logs, alarms and test call errors, as well as availability and traffic statistics.
MP Lifts was a pioneer in developing a platform for connected lifts in 2009. It was commercially deployed in 2015 and now, in 2023, the company is releasing a new architecture, more flexible, and a new website, with responsive technology, more user-friendly and with further information.
Another company’s new product on exhibition at this international meeting is MP Deby, an online configurator that allows users to design and quote their own lift immediately, with the desired aesthetics and to configure it à la carte. It also makes to get lift plans, including BIM format, quotations, to shorten lead times and improve the service quality, since it is fully integrated with the manufacturing processes.
Lifts modernisation
The European lift fleet is more than 6.6 million units and 50% of this figure is estimated to be more than 30 years old. EU policies -promoting the circular economy, improving energy efficiency, increasing safety, improving accessibility…- are encouraging modernisation, MP has therefore created a new department specifically for this market: ELO2.
At this week’s international trade fair, the company is presenting its wide range of components for modernisation, as well as new complete solutions in the form of kits for the modernising electric lifts with a machine rooms machine roomless and hydraulic lifts. Also, the developments related to the MP ecoGO controller, with its own design, frequency inverter and manufacturing process, which can now control most of the machines in the existing lift fleet, including those of multinational manufacturers.
In terms of new features for cars, the company is presenting the NEW VILITER car, which allows a quick installation by a single person from the inside, saving 4 hours assembly time. This new model is more comfortable (noise is reduced by 1 to 2 dB inside), and more eco-efficient by reducing its weight in 5%.

MP Lifts donates a lift to a school for children with limited economic resources in Ukraine
In January 2022, the journalist and host of “La Linterna” (the lantern) on COPE radio, Ángel Expósito, travelled to Kiev, Ukraine’s capital, in the midst of armed conflict, and heard first-hand, among other stories, the one of a small school run by three Spanish nuns, Antonia, María Jesús and María. There, they teach Spanish to children belonging to low-income families, mainly aged between 5 and 10, who play and learn and who, above all, find peace and refuge.
Amid the armed conflict, which has been going on for more than 500 days, the journalist reported this story and the day-to-day life of this educational centre, where new boilers were needed, as well as a lift so that the elderly nuns who run it could access the upper floors. This is when MP Lifts stepped in, in a spirit of solidarity, by donating a lift and contributing to this humanitarian cause.
“What is really important is the work done by the Dominican Sisters and the entire Congregation of Saint Dominic in Kiev for years. We just did our bit for this cause”, emphasised Eugenio Barroso, CEO of MP Lifts, in an interview given to journalist Manuel Salvador on the programme Herrera en COPE.
This project began last year, and it continued to progress despite the evacuation of the school due to safety concerns.
The development of this project has been made possible thanks to the collaboration with the local company Karat, “which has been fully committed at all times”, acknowledged Eugenio Barroso, as well as two other fundamental people; Lonya and Walter, who have given all their support on the ground.
“MP Lifts consists of a business part and a philanthropic part, channelled through the Valentín de Madariaga y Oya Foundation“, noted the CEO of MP, who highlighted the large social work and the projects that are being developed.

MP Lifts consolidates its position as the seventh largest operator in Europe
The company, whose lifts have beaten their user record of almost 13 million, has strengthened its position as the seventh largest operator in the sector in Europe after acquiring the company Europa Lift to boost its business in Belgium.
“Mobility in buildings and other urban spaces is a stable and growing sector with a worldwide turnover of 122 billion euros per year,” said Eugenio Barroso, CEO of MP Lifts.
In addition, the increasing ageing of lifts and the growing awareness of user safety, the need to extend the life cycle of products, energy efficiency and the reduction of the environmental footprint, “are driving modernisation activity”, he pointed out.
In 2022, the company grew by 9%, reaching a turnover of 148.1 million euros, with an EBITDA margin of 6.9%, exporting 85% of its sales and with a workforce of 1,080 people of 13 nationalities. In the first quarter of this year, the growth trend continued, with operations to attract new customers such as the Warsaw metro in Poland and the acquisition of Europa Lift in Belgium.

Lifting, ecological transition and social cohesion
“Companies in the elevation sector and their projects have a substantial impact on the ecological transition, digital transformation and social cohesion”, said Eugenio Barroso.
The problem of “prison flats” (buildings without lifts), “is a very sensitive issue that many people are suffering in silence”, he explained. Accessibility legislation must be complied with “to be able to offer them the dignified and comfortable living conditions they deserve”.
Improving productivity: investment in innovation and connectivity
Regarding the future of the sector, “the main challenge is to increase productivity”, Barroso pointed out, for which the company is investing three million euros in software and database management, technology, and management quality.
“We keep progressing in connectivity”, he said, explaining that all lifts designed and manufactured nowadays by MP are installed as standard with the connectivity package and 20% of its fleet is connected, “which improves the availability of the lifts and their safety”. This figure will grow significantly with the launch of the new multi-brand project that the company is finalising and which allows the connectivity of older lifts from any manufacturer.
